Join us for two interactive, evidence-based workshops over two evenings – designed to give you practical tools for cognitive and upper limb rehabilitation. Perfect for early career clinicians or those wanting to refresh their practice with the latest research and techniques.

Session 1 (29th October) – Cognitive Rehabilitation: A Functional Approach (Olivia White, OT and MDT Clinical Lead Brain Injury Community Integration Service QLD Health)

Olivia is an Occupational Therapist with 18 years’ experience in neurological rehabilitation across acute, inpatient, outpatient, and community settings in the UK and Australia. Her special interests include cognitive rehab for ABI/TBI, service redesign, and digital models of care.

• Understand domains of cognition and apply knowledge to performance-based assessment

• Design individualised treatment programs using a structured framework

• Learn evidence-based strategies for ABI/TBI cognitive rehabilitation

Session 2 (30th October) – Task-Specific Practice: Improving Arm & Hand Outcomes (Effie Sibson, OT and Co-Founder Elevate Neuro Rehab)

Effie is an Occupational Therapist with a special interest in innovative and evidence-based neurological arm and hand rehabilitation, with experience in the acute, sub-acute and community rehab settings. Effie has trained hundreds of clinicians worldwide, while concurrently working as a rehab clinician on a day-to-day basis.

This course is filled with case study demonstration and practical tips for integrating the latest evidence into your clinical practice.

Course Outline:

• • Understand the principles of motor learning theory and apply them to neuro rehab
  • Understand the evidence of when and why to use unimanual vs bimanual training for improving arm and hand function
  • Design task-specific training programs using a structured framework
